Those wishing to connect with community resources can call 2-1-1 from any land line or cell phone. Services are available 24/7 in English, Spanish and in 150 additional languages. 2-1-1 also provides incident-specific information during times of disaster, including road closures and shelters.
This is a free resource funded by First 5 Ventura County, United Way and the County of Ventura. It connects more than 20,000 Ventura County callers each year with information about available services, including: basic needs resources (i.e. food, clothing, and shelter), physical and mental health resources, domestic violence services, substance abuse services, employment support, rent and utility assistance, senior services, services for persons with disabilities, support for children, youth and families, legal assistance and much more.
2-1-1 maintains the only comprehensive database of health and human services in Ventura County. Community members can also search this database online by visiting www.211ventura.org.
